Alair Homes has officially expanded its presence in South Central Florida with the launch of Alair Heartland, a new custom homebuilding office serving Highlands, Hardee, Polk, and DeSoto counties.
The expansion marks an important milestone for Alair, North America’s largest custom homebuilding and remodeling network, as it continues to grow beyond Florida’s coastal markets and into the state’s Heartland. This region in South Central Florida an area known for its open land, strong values, and close-knit communities.
The new location officially opened on January 16, 2026, with a grand opening celebration that welcomed local community members, trade partners, and Alair leadership to recognize the occasion.
As part of the Alair network, Alair Heartland brings a relationship-first, fully custom approach to homebuilding designed to provide homeowners with clarity, confidence, and control throughout the building process.
Alair Heartland is led by partner Michael Scheipsmeier, who brings more than 20 years of residential construction experience to the role. The location represents one of Alair’s first non-coastal expansions in Florida, extending the brand’s proven model into a growing and underserved region.

The launch also carries personal significance for Glen Harris III, regional partner for Alair Homes in Southwest Florida.
