Each year, the project serves as a showcase for the building industry, highlighting innovation, design, and forward-thinking construction practices. But behind the finished home visitors walk through during the International Builders’ Show is an intense and deeply hands-on building process that spans well over a year.

For our team behind The New American Home 2026 in Winter Park, Florida, the build represented an extraordinary commitment to daily site leadership, coordination, and execution.

With more than 16,000 square feet under roof, the home required meticulous planning and constant presence on site. From the earliest stages of structural work through final interior installations, the project demanded close attention to every phase of construction. Large-scale homes like this leave little room for error. Every measurement, installation, and transition between trades must be executed with precision to ensure the home performs as beautifully as it looks.

The scale of the property added additional layers of complexity. Features like the 16-car underground garage, multiple kitchens, wellness spaces, and specialty rooms required coordination between structural engineers, specialty installers, and finishing teams working in tight sequences.
