Built in Winter Park, Florida, The New American Home® 2026 serves as both a luxury private residence and a gathering space supporting the mission of Jonathan’s Landing Foundation, founded by homeowner and entrepreneur Jason Eichenholz. The foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for adults with autism to live and work with greater independence.
The Forbes feature explores the unique vision behind the project, from the nearly 7,000-square-foot underground level and advanced entertaining systems to the home’s intentional accommodations for sensory comfort and accessibility.
Jim Krantz, Partner at Alair Orlando | JNJ Group and a builder on the project, was featured throughout the article discussing the technical complexity and purpose-driven nature of the home.
“One example is the air conditioning design and installation, as a standard system would not be able to accommodate 100 guests and the associated heat load while keeping the space comfortable,” Krantz shared with Forbes.com while discussing the home’s large-scale entertaining capabilities.
The article also highlighted the collaborative effort to create a home supportive of individuals with varying sensory and accessibility needs.
“We engaged specialized consultants to help design a home that supports not only our client’s son, but also visiting children and adults with special needs,” TNAH Builder, Daniel Kennerly of Alair Orlando | Kennerly & Co., explained. “The goal was to create a space where both caregivers and individuals with varying needs could comfortably enjoy time together.”
As the official builder of The New American Home® 2026, Alair Orlando worked alongside an extraordinary team of architects, designers, trades, and manufacturing partners to bring the vision to life within a compressed construction timeline ahead of IBS 2026.
The feature represents another meaningful milestone for the project, which has become recognized not only for its advanced construction systems and design innovation, but for the mission driving it forward.
“This home and its mission inspired me,” Forbes contributor Jamie Gold wrote in the closing of the piece.
