Alair Orlando recently earned national recognition when Pro Builder highlighted Alair’s achievement in building The New American Home® 2026 (TNAH), the premier showcase project for The International Builders’ Show® 2026. Hosted by The National Association of Home Builders®, the show is the largest annual light construction show in the world.

Pro Builder highlights how Alair blends bold design with innovative construction solutions in bringing TNAH 2026 to life. Built on a dazzling hillside in Winter Park, Fla, the home defies typical Florida homebuilding practices and features a 16-car underground garage, a balcony spa off the primary suite, and jaw-dropping outdoor entertainment spaces.

Built on a hillside overlooking the water, the New American Home 2026 challenges regional norms with a bold design and dramatic views.

Daniel Kennerly, partner at Alair Orlando, says the team’s focus was simple: build around what matters most to the homeowner. That mindset set this project apart, because unlike every other featured home in the history of The New American Home®, the 2026 home was created for a real client, entrepreneur and philanthropist Jason Eichenholz, Ph.D.

And his vision set the bar. The result is a seamless indoor–outdoor experience, anchored by floor-to-ceiling glass that opens to an infinity-edge pool and lake views. Inside, a plus a cantilevered dining table, engineered into the structure below, is a marvel that Pro Builder called a “unique and permanent focal point.”

Achievements in Design

Alair collaborated with architect Michael Wenrich and interior designer Olivia Maher to deliver the homeowner’s vision, balancing scale with intimate, livable spaces and incorporating universal design principles throughout the home.

The coverage also emphasized the home’s technical and logistical achievements, including an 16-car underground garage, wellness suite, and multiple outdoor terraces, all constructed in Florida’s challenging hillside and high water table conditions. Pro Builder called out the team’s innovative use of steel framing, impact-rated glass, and thermally treated wood to meet both aesthetic and resiliency goals.

Finally, Pro Builder underscored the home’s philanthropic purpose. Inspired by his son, Jonathan, the homeowner is matching contributions from suppliers to his nonprofit, Jonathan’s Landing. Long after the final tours of TNAH 2026, the home will double as a venue for fundraisers and other charitable initiatives.
