Modern Rancher Addition

This project began with a recently built, architecturally designed home near the beach. The new homeowners wanted to personalize the space to better suit their lifestyle, including adding a dedicated home office, a home gym, and an additional garage bay, all while maintaining parking for their motorhome.

The top priority was ensuring the new addition felt seamless, matching the style, detailing, and materials of the original build. We sourced the same products and finishes and used a Revit 3D model to explore options and gather feedback from the clients before construction began. The butterfly roof made integration especially intricate, but the final result feels cohesive and intentional.

Along with the new spaces, we completed a series of subtle interior modifications, including adding radiant in-floor heating as well as design refinements throughout. The result is a home that preserves the integrity of the original architecture and one that’s much better suited to the clients’ needs and lifestyle.
