We were fortunate to start with a gorgeous home and spacious backyard. But, the homeowner needed a pool! After careful study, a new back yard retreat took shape with generous pool, healthy spa, entertaining outdoor kitchen and cozy screened porch. All the elements play off perfectly against the home’s stately brick and natural wood exterior.

Substantial care went into the pool location as well as the size and layout of the screen porch. Historic neighborhood guidelines for Druid Hills were considered as well as the tricky setbacks that hugged the building almost too closely. Regardless of site and neighborhood limitations, the new backyard accomplishes all the stated goals. Great space for entertaining, a snug porch with fireplace and TV for family time, and a beautiful pool that thankfully with Georgia weather is in use at least 75% of the year.
