Surfaces, inside and out, were showing significant signs of wear and the overall layout just wasn’t working well for this family. Space and functionality were critical considerations during architectural development, but the family’s demand for connection to nature, artful touches throughout, and a vibrant home that was both safe and fun for their young children also led the list of must-have qualities for the finished product.
Construction commenced after many rounds of intense scope and budget refinement. Ultimately, the original structure was demolished to the studs, while the original footprint was maintained. This charming bungalow now features a fully revised first floor and an entirely new second story, making the home significantly larger than its predecessor and making it far more functional for the family of four.
No longer are the spaces of this home simply utilitarian and void of color and fun. This abode is special, unique, and a true reflection of the rich inner lives of these homeowners.
