Jason Zavitz
Partner
Jason Zavitz brings a carpenter’s perspective to every project he leads. As a partner at Alair Whistler/Squamish, he draws on years of hands-on construction experience to guide clients through one of the most complex processes they’ll undertake as homeowners.
Jason’s approach is grounded in clarity and full disclosure. Early in his career, he recognized that technical expertise means little if the people across the table aren’t following the conversation. He now makes it a priority to meet clients where they are: breaking down complex decisions into manageable steps, focusing on what matters at each stage of the build, and ensuring no one feels left behind in the process.
When a build gets complicated, Jason’s instinct is to find a solution before presenting the problem. His clients have described working with him as working with a friend — someone who takes the details seriously without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Jason has worked across the Sea to Sky corridor, including oceanfront projects on Bowen Island. Squamish is home, where he lives with his family and makes the most of everything the region has to offer year-round.
Peter Merabian
Project Manager
Peter Merabian brings a hands-on, detail-focused approach to every project he manages. As a Project Manager with Alair 604 based in Squamish, he coordinates the many moving pieces of a build, from clients and trades to suppliers and consultants, keeping projects on schedule and on budget from concept through completion.
Peter’s approach centers on communication. When a build becomes complicated, his instinct is to double down on staying in touch with everyone involved, so misunderstandings don’t have room to take hold. He’s also a believer in being on site often: frequent visits let him catch small issues before they become larger ones. With clients who are new to the building process, he takes a step-by-step approach, walking them through each stage so they understand what’s happening and why.
What Peter finds most satisfying is watching a project take shape, from an idea on paper to something people can walk through and live in.
Peter lives on the North Shore, where he’s spent years building relationships with the neighbourhoods and people who make the community what it is.
Outside of work, he can often be found scuba diving or making the trip out to Gambier Island for its trails.
