This full-home renovation reimagined a dated builder-grade colonial into a timeless Hunt Country retreat, blending classic architectural detailing with modern functionality.
Located in rural Purcellville, Virginia, the home was transformed inside and out to better reflect its picturesque surroundings and the lifestyle of its owners.
The exterior was elevated with a custom entry portico, standing seam metal roof, painted brick, and all-new windows and doors designed to maximize natural light and frame sweeping countryside views.
Inside, every space was redesigned with intention. The flow was improved, hallways opened, and character infused throughout with thoughtful millwork and elegant finishes. The foyer was given a stately presence with pilasters, panel molding, and a serpentine balcony overlook.
Gathering spaces were enhanced with a dramatic new kitchen and scullery that serve as the heart of the home. Whimsical details, like a hidden bookcase concealing the laundry room, balance sophistication with charm. Bathrooms were reimagined with spa-inspired luxury, while the master suite gained a boutique-style closet and serene bath.
The result is a home that harmonizes elegance, comfort, and countryside charm; proof of what’s possible when creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration come together beautifully.
Traditional kitchen with hidden scullery that is quite a surprise.
Hand painted gold leaf detailing on the ceiling.
Every detail and every element was thoughtfully selected.
