Perched high above the valley on a dramatic mountaintop setting, this 5,600-square-foot contemporary West Coast home blends striking architecture with its natural surroundings. Built directly into solid bedrock, the four-bedroom, six-bathroom residence captures sweeping views of the Fraser Valley while creating a private, resort-like retreat.

Designed by Zed Studios, the exterior features EIFS stucco cladding with two inches of integrated insulation to enhance energy performance while maintaining a crisp, modern aesthetic. Clean architectural lines are emphasized through ECM front-entry and rear window panels, while angular fir posts and soffiting introduce warmth and texture. Water features at both the front and rear of the home create a calming arrival and reinforce the sense of retreat. A precast Ankora retaining wall—designed to resemble natural wood—supports the driveway and upper landscaping.

Outdoor living spaces are designed for both relaxation and recreation. The property includes an in-ground pool, several covered seating areas with fire tables, and even a private pickleball court. A three-car garage adds everyday functionality and includes a convenient dog-washing station.

Inside, a dramatic architectural fin wall extends from the exterior into the interior, culminating in a 20-foot floor-to-ceiling double-sided black fireplace finished in thin veneer brick. Concrete hearth and mantle pieces and an integrated heat-release vent make the fireplace both a visual centrepiece and a functional element of the home. An airy bridge above overlooks the two-storey living and dining spaces, separating the primary suite from two guest bedrooms.

The chef’s kitchen combines warmth and performance with white-oak veneer cabinetry and a striking 5-by-11-foot Vicostone island with seating. Riff-cut white oak cabinetry extends to a fluted range hood with integrated storage, while a seamless porcelain tile backsplash maintains a clean, contemporary look. A spacious butler’s pantry adds exceptional functionality with a second dishwasher, glass rinser, built-in coffee maker, microwave, and additional refrigeration.

The primary suite offers a peaceful retreat with expansive views and a luxurious ensuite featuring dual vanities, a soaker tub beside a corner window, heated porcelain tile floors, and a large walk-in shower with bench seating and multiple shower heads. A fully equipped walk-in closet includes an LG Styler, makeup area with LED mirror, and custom storage.

The lower level includes an entertainment room, gym, games area, guest bedroom, and additional bathroom. Throughout the home, hardwood flooring with custom-machined grill inserts and Fittes cold air returns maintain clean lines while optimizing airflow.
