Adam Ford

Partner

Adam’s journey is marked by dedication, teamwork, and the occasional misadventure with a hammer.

Sports were a huge part of Adam’s childhood. Adam attended the University of Calgary, where he excelled as a two-sport athlete in football and basketball. These experiences as a student-athlete instilled in him the values of collaboration and striving towards common goals.

His professional career began with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, where he discovered that building things was way more fun than demolishing them (most of the time). In 2012, he co-founded Unique Home Builders in Calgary, quickly establishing it as a valued name in the industry. In January 2024, Adam joined Alair Homes Calgary as a partner, focusing on operations and accountability. His commitment to fine-tuned procedures and constant communication ensures each project exceeds client expectations.

Adam is married to Kelsey, his better half, who keeps him grounded. They have two children — Audrey, who already insists on wearing a tiny hard hat (another future project manager on the way!), and their newest addition, a boy Charlie. His family is a constant source of inspiration and plenty of humorous anecdotes.

Jason Gray

Business & Development

After finishing his degree in history and historical carpentry, Jason began his residential construction career in Toronto before moving to Calgary a decade ago, where he’s held a variety of roles in carpentry, project management, and sales.

At Alair, Jason thrives in the fun, innovative, and forward-thinking culture. With a deep appreciation for craft, Jason brings a detail and quality-driven approach to every project. Beyond Alair, he’s committed to strengthening Calgary’s building community, serving on the board of directors for CICBA and regularly contributing to Builders and Brews.
Outside of work, Jason embraces his role as a husband and father, and enjoys running long stretches of Calgary’s trails.

Debra Ford

Office Admin

Debra works with the management team at Alair Homes Calgary, providing administrative support and keeping operations running smoothly. Her work as a meditation teacher on the Insight Timer app also brings a sense of calm and balance to the office.

With 30 years of business experience, including several marketing management roles, Debra brings valuable knowledge and leadership to the team.
Originally from South Africa, she immigrated to Canada with her husband, John, in 1990 and now calls Calgary her happy home. Outside of work, Debra loves spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren.

Elliott Wykes

Site Supervisor

Originally from England, Elliott has called Canada home for over a decade, bringing with him a broad range of construction experience from both sides of the pond. This international perspective adds real value to his role as Site Supervisor, where attention to detail, problem-solving, and a strong work ethic are part of his daily toolkit.

Elliott’s background spans a wide spectrum of residential construction, giving him the ability to navigate projects with confidence and keep things moving smoothly on site. He takes pride in maintaining high standards, clear communication, and a well-organized job site—something both clients and trade partners quickly come to appreciate.

Before making the move to Canada, Elliott played semi-professional football (the real kind), and that same team-first mentality shows up in how he works today. He brings energy, accountability, and no shortage of humour to the team—helping keep morale high and projects on track.

Shane Clunies-Ross

Project Manager

With over 34 years of experience in construction, Shane brings a deep understanding of the industry and a hands-on approach to every project.

He got his start learning on job sites alongside his dad before earning his Red Seal Carpentry certification in 1996. From there, Shane built and operated his own company in Fort St. John, BC, growing from small renovations into custom homes, multi-family, and commercial projects.

Having been involved in every aspect of the build process, Shane believes strong communication is the foundation of any successful project. His experience, creativity, and practical knowledge help bring clients’ visions to life with confidence and clarity.

Shane has called Calgary home for the past three years alongside his partner Abby and their two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, camping, fitness, and travelling the world.
