Dunelm Modern Custom

This custom-built home draws inspiration from the timeless principles of Frank Lloyd Wright, blending bold modern design with the organic warmth of Prairie-style architecture. Rooted in Wright’s philosophy of harmony between structure and landscape, the home emphasizes strong horizontal lines, extended roof overhangs, and a seamless connection between indoors and out.

The exterior combines dark vertical siding with warm wood and stone accents, creating both contrast and cohesion. Inside, the open-concept layout balances minimalism and comfort, with natural oak floors, matte black details, and a soft neutral palette. The kitchen showcases a striking mix of rift-cut oak and deep charcoal cabinetry, accented by brass hardware and continuous quartz surfaces. Oversized pendant lights and full-height windows fill the space with natural light and grounded calm.

A custom steel railing leads to private spaces featuring vertically stacked tilework, refined fixtures, and a dramatic bronze fireplace feature that anchors the great room. Every element—proportion, material, and detail—reflects the spirit of modern craftsmanship and the enduring influence of Wright’s vision: a home designed to live beautifully within its landscape.
