The Woodland Revival project is perched overlooking Lake Washington, nestled in evergreen trees. Although the house itself isn’t very old, the layout and design no longer supported the homeowner’s lifestyle. To create a more open and functional living space, structural beams were introduced to remove select interior walls and open up the main living areas. Since the kitchen is the central point of this home, the space was built to provide space to both cook and spend time with family and friends.
The bathrooms were remodeled to improve flow and comfort, and the common spaces received new wide-plank flooring to bring warmth and continuity throughout the home. Additional windows and skylights were added to invite in natural light and highlight the home’s serene, wooded setting overlooking the lake.
In collaboration with H2D Architecture + Design, the result is a thoughtfully updated home designed for everyday living and entertaining guests.
