What does it take to go from good to great in our industry?
We’ve been good for a long time, delivering quality projects to fantastic clients, again and again.
We are professional, hardworking, experienced, caring, and courteous. Those values have served us well, earning trust and allowing our reputation to precede us. We are proud of what we’ve built. We are good.
But it turns out that producing good projects isn’t the be-all and end-all. It’s just one important piece of a much larger puzzle.
When we were first approached by Alair Homes, we were honored — but as I said, we were already good. However, as our relationship with Alair deepened, we became acutely aware of something important: to them, good isn’t great. And there were more pieces to the puzzle than we had fully recognized.
At Alair Homes, building a great home is a given. What truly matters is the entire client experience — from the very first conversation to the moment the keys are handed over. A great company doesn’t just build projects; it earns lasting trust and confidence. Simple as that.
Of course, achieving that goal is anything but simple. If it were, every builder would have an immaculate reputation. Some talk a big game but can’t deliver quality. Others build beautiful homes yet leave disappointed clients in their wake. For Alair, producing both — exceptional craftsmanship and an exceptional experience — at an elite level, with predictable results, is what defines greatness.
To be fair to many in our industry, creating the systems and processes required to perform at that level is daunting, time-consuming, and overwhelming. It takes an immense amount of work and time spent navigating obstacles. It’s not for everyone, and unfortunately, that reality is clearly visible within the general reputation of our industry. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Alair Homes has spent years developing and refining the teams, systems, and processes necessary to be great. They’ve learned that greatness isn’t a destination; it’s a discipline. Multiple times each week, hundreds of professional builders across the Alair locations pressure-test ideas and processes in real time, all with one laser-focused goal: creating undeniable relationships with their clients. That level of collaboration and shared brainpower is unmatched in our industry and deeply inspiring to those of us who know we can be better.
So, why did we choose Alair?
Because we are ready to put in the work to be great.
We are proud to have joined Alair as their new Seattle location: Alair Seattle. Surrounded by a robust support system, exceptional teams, and a renewed focus, we are setting out to build the next generation of homes, while delivering an experience worthy of the people who trust us with them.
