Located in North Seattle, this home was originally built in the 1950s. Over the years, various remodels and additions added space but also introduced design elements from their respective eras. This remodel was a chance to bring modern, practical updates while preserving the home’s original character.

The goal of this project was to extend the back of the house, creating room for an expanded kitchen and a stairwell leading to a much-needed second-story addition.

A major focus was to honor the existing design language, create continuity, and incorporate quality finishes throughout.

This was thoughtfully achieved through the work of Zeke Busch Architects.
