Tucked within the coveted Northwest Ridgeview Development of Johnston, Iowa, the Grand Revival Home Show Project in Meadow Springs is a striking blend of old-world charm and modern elegance. This 5,523-square-foot residence is Alair Des Moines’ full expression of design excellence—created in collaboration with Elizabeth Erin Designs (Interiors) and Riesberg Group Design (architectural drawings) as a signature showcase for the 2025 HomeShowExpo.
With full creative direction and the opportunity to shape every decision from the ground up, the team leaned into timeless architectural inspiration, modern functionality, and elevated design details at every turn.

This home is the result of close collaboration with some of the most skilled and respected professionals in the region. We are proud to recognize the following contributors:
- APPLIANCES:
Fulgor Milano, Zephyr, Scotsman, Monogram, and GE indoor appliances were provided by Green’s, installed by Next Level Install.
Alfresco and Perlick outdoor appliances were provided by OKI. - DESIGN:
Construction drawings and exterior renderings were completed by Riesberg Group Design.
Elizabeth Erin Designs provided interior specifications and documentation. - FRAMING MATERIALS:
Framing lumber and materials were provided by Builders FirstSource. - CABINETS:
Cabinets were built by Amish carpenters in Iowa and Wisconsin shops, designed and sourced by Amish Cabinet Co. Painted cabinets are made of hardwood plywood and solid maple and finished with conversion varnish, and stained cabinets are plywood and cherry. Top Knobs and Rejuvenation cabinet hardware, in Polished Nickel and Unlacquered Brass, was provided by Elizabeth Erin Designs. Cabinets and hardware were installed by Precision Homes. Sherwin Williams paint matches for cabinet colors are: Snowbound, Repose Gray, Rookwood Shutter Green, and Evergreen Fog. - CLOSETS:
Organized Living’s Classica closet systems were provided and installed by A+. - TILE:
Emser tile was provided and installed by Luke Brothers and Precision Flooring. Master bathroom features DITRA-HEAT in the floor, wall, and shower bench, also provided and installed by Luke Brothers and Precision Flooring.
Mbrico porcelain deck tile was installed by Bertini Tile. - CONCRETE:
Concrete flatwork was completed by E-Pride LLC. Interior floor slab features insulation and vapor barrier.
Concrete polishing and epoxy was completed by Above & Beyond Wash and Seal. - COUNTERTOPS:
Carrara marble was sourced from Midwest Tile, Marble & Granite. Countertops and splashes were fabricated and installed by Iowa Countertops.
Porcelain countertops for the outdoor kitchen were provided by Cosentino and fabricated and installed by Iowa Countertops. - STONE:
Exterior stone is Tulsa Hacket by Centurion Stone of Iowa. - STUCCO:
Stucco was completed by The Finished Edge. - INTERIOR DOORS:
Custom solid-core interior doors from Trustile were provided by Lake Lumber Co, together with Polished Brass interior and exterior door hardware from Emtek. - GUTTERS:
Gutters and downspouts were provided and installed by Contractor Services of Iowa. - DRYWALL:
Smooth-finish drywall was provided, installed, and finished by MF Drywall LLC. - EXCAVATION:
Excavation was completed by GGLX Excavation and Landscaping. - FINANCING:
Financing was provided by Twin Cedars Bank. - OUTDOOR HEATERS
Outdoor heaters were provided by Bromic and installed by Team Kline. - LIGHTING
Hudson Valley Lighting decorative light fixtures and Tala Dim to Warm light bulbs were provided by Spectrum Lighting & Interiors.
Iolite Comfort Dim recessed lights from NORA Lighting were provided by Grace Lighting.
Electrical wiring was completed, and all fixtures installed, by Team Kline.
Control4 lighting control and automation was designed and installed by A+. - AUDIO
SONANCE Invisible Series and Paradigm speakers were provided and installed A+, along with Control4 automation. - SECURITY
Security and cameras were provided and installed by A+. - GOLF SIMULATOR
Golf simulator from FORESIGHT Sports was provided and installed by A+.
- FIREPLACES:
Fireplaces were provided and installed by Kohles & Bach. Outdoor model is Courtyard 36” by Outdoor Lifestyles; indoor model is Heatilator Birmingham 36”.
Cast stone fireplace surround was fabricated and installed by The Finished Edge. - FOUNDATION:
Foundation and footings were completed by Rock Solid Foundation. - FRAMING:
Framing was completed by Shaymus Smith Construction. - OVERHEAD DOORS:
Overhead doors are from the Haas Door’s American Tradition Series, provided and installed by WD Doors. - HVAC:
HVAC systems were completed by Team Kline. Entire lower level features radiant in-floor heat also installed by Team Kline. - INSULATION:
Insulation was completed by Contractor Services of Iowa. - INSURANCE:
Insurance was provided Marsh McLennan. - RAILING:
Exterior metal railing and chimney shrouds were provided and installed by Factor Fabrication. - IRRIGATION:
Irrigation was installed by Stay Green Irrigation. - LANDSCAPING:
Landscaping was designed and installed by Weller Brothers. - PAINT:
Interior and exterior paint was completed by Iowa Central Enterprise. All colors are from Sherwin Williams. Interior colors are Snowbound and Repose Gray. Exterior colors are Alabaster and Worldly Gray.
Vasari lime paint in the color Granite in the powder bath was completed by The Finished Edge. - WALLPAPER:
“Wood Block Blooms” wallpaper in Cream/Glint from York Wall Coverings, and Wisteria Vine wallpaper in Charcoal from Milton & King, were installed by Lake Painting. - PLUMBING:
Plumbing fixtures in Unlacquered Brass were provided by Waterworks, and plumbing installation was completed by Team Kline. - ROOFING: Certainteed’s Presidential Shake in “Country Gray” was provided by Beacon Roofing Supply and installed by Shaymus Smith Construction.
- GLASS
Shower doors and cabinet glass were fabricated and installed by The Kitchen & Bath Co. - SIDING
Smooth lap, panel, and trim siding from James Hardie was provided by Munn Lumber and installed by Shaymus Smith Construction. - TRIM:
Custom trim was milled from poplar by Fine Line Woodworks. Stair railing was provided by Lake Lumber Co. Oak stair treads were provided by Barnum Floors. All interior trim was installed by Precision Homes. - WINDOWS and EXTERIOR DOORS
Windows and exterior doors are from Pella’s Lifestyle and Reserve series. - SHADES
Clara motorized shades were provided and installed by A+. - FLOORING
Emser tile was provided and installed by Luke Brothers and Precision Flooring.
Carpet was provided and installed by Luke Brothers and Precision Flooring.
Wood floors are 2-1/2” solid red oak plank on the main and upper levels, and 3-1/4” engineered red oak on the lower level. Provided, installed, and finished by Barnum Floors. - SAUNA
Sauna install kit was designed and provided by Superior Saunas and installed by Precision Homes. - FURNISHINGS
Furniture and décor were provided and installed by The Elements. - FLORALS
