For all of those who have been spending the last 6 or so months inside, it is time to come out of hibernation. It is a great time of the year to explore your own backyard and what better way to do that but to get on your bikes and ride. Whether you want to be a road warrior, a trailblazer, or just a cruiser, there is no wrong way explore your local area. Personally, I am a cruiser type of guy; so that is what I am going to write about (sorry to those more extreme riders)!
We have been doing a lot of work in the beautiful Arcadia (I happen to live in that area as well) could not help but notice that the people and the bars/restaurants in that area are always buzzing with activity.
I thought what better way to get out and see these beautiful homes and buzzing bars and restaurants then to get on my bike and explore. Here are my 3 favorite bars/restaurants to ride to in the Arcadia area.
JT’s Bar and Grill
JT’s is considered “Arcadia’s Friendly Neighborhood Dive Bar” (jtsarcadia.com). If you blink, you will miss this place, but just follow the scent of some of the best chicken wings I have had in Arizona and you will find it. This is a great place to go and grab a pint and a dozen wings before exploring more of Arcadia.
O.H.S.O. Eatery and nano-Brewery
This is a great spot to stop when riding down the canal. They have an excellent food selection as well as an unbeatable craft beer selection. One of my favorite aspects of this bar; it is extremely dog-friendly; so bring your four-legged friend.
The Vig Uptown
For those that want to see a super hip and stylish local hangout but do not want to inundated with a pretentious menu, check this place out. If you go, be sure to get there during their famous happy hour. If you are feeling up to it after your bike ride, be sure to throw in a game of bocce ball while you are there.
Whether you ride the canal, ride down Indian School, or peel off onto the side streets to see some beautiful and historic Arcadia style homes (some of which we are working on), there is no right or wrong place to cruise to in Arcadia.
