A First at IBS: A True Custom Home

The New American Home® 2026 marked a significant evolution for IBS—the first show home ever built for a true custom client.

This introduced a unique level of complexity. Every decision required precise coordination—balancing sponsor integration, advanced building systems, and the specific functional needs of the homeowner without compromise.

At nearly 17,000 square feet, the home was delivered within a highly compressed 14-month timeline; an uncommon achievement given the scale, technical requirements, and level of detail involved.

The result is a highly resolved, fully livable home that reflects rigorous planning, disciplined execution, and the ability to deliver complex projects at an exceptional standard under demanding conditions.

The result is a home that feels as intentional as it is ambitious, blending forward-thinking ideas with a deeply personal, human-centered design.

Mission of the Home

Located on a lakefront lot in Winter Park, Florida, The New American Home® 2026 was designed to deliver impact beyond the build itself. Inspired by homeowner Jason Eichenholz and his son Jonathan, the project helped elevate awareness for the Jonathan’s Landing Foundation and its vision for a residential community supporting adults with autism.

The team approached the project with a clear objective: to execute at the highest level while supporting a broader philanthropic mission. Through the International Builders’ Show (IBS), the home became a platform to generate awareness, support fundraising efforts, and bring visibility to the foundation’s work.

For the Alair Orlando | JNJ Group, the project demonstrates how disciplined execution and clear alignment can extend the impact of a home well beyond its physical footprint.

Vendor Involvement & Impact

The project’s alignment with the Jonathan’s Landing Foundation played a key role in attracting a wide range of industry partners. Contributors were motivated not only by the technical ambition of the home, but by the opportunity to support a meaningful cause.

More than $3 million in products and services were donated, requiring careful coordination, integration, and execution across all contributors. This was matched by homeowner Jason Eichenholz, culminating in a significant charitable contribution presented during IBS.

For the Alair Orlando | JNJ Group, the outcome reflects the strength of structured collaboration—where complex inputs are seamlessly integrated to deliver both technical excellence and broader impact.
