Lake View Landing

The kitchen was enlarged to fit a huge island that better takes advantage of the lakefront views and give the family a casual gathering space in the kitchen that they never had before. A tiny screened-in porch with poor visibility was eliminated, with that area being transformed into the new den. In the kitchen, the builder-grade pantry closet was replaced with a walk-in, functional pantry, complete with a microwave, sink, and views outdoors. The interior space transformation also includes a home office with a custom stained barn door, an overall refresh with more neutral colors, and a clean design to help bring the remodeled kitchen and new den together in the open floor plan for a lakefront feeling.

The newly expanded balcony now has a metal roof over the second-story patio to protect it from the heat of the Carolina summers, as well as the rain. The skylights were added to direct light into the living room. Fans and can lights, and extra outlets for decorative lights were added to enhance the use and design of the space. Finally, the cable railing completes the feel and maximizes the view of the lake.
