Over the last year I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I can be living my life better. The reflection was mostly driven by the fact that I was unhappy with my work-life, and I needed to find a fix. I’m a parent of 2 boys who are about to start school this August, who loves working. So resolving this part of my life was important to me.
My turning point started because of Alair Homes. At the beginning of this year my husband & I decided to become a franchisee of Alair Homes. At the time I was still working full-time in corporate america and my husband was the one driving the process to convert his 10+ year company to Alair Homes Houston. To keep the story brief, we decided to join Alair Homes because of the value it brought to our clients and the scalability it offered to our custom home building business (which up till then wasn’t really an end goal). But the thing that got me hooked and wanting to join the company was related to their motto: Living Better Starts Here™.

Living Better for me starts here with Alair because the company culture, the business model, and the people exude qualities I strive for and are proud to be a part of: honesty, transparency, trustworthiness. Living Better for our business starts here with Alair because our business model is built around transparency and client control, which allows us to align 100% with our clients to work on their behalf, without competing interests (which is rare in business today). Living Better for our clients starts here with Alair because while we are focused on delivering a high-quality end product, the experience or process is equally important to us. Which, by the way, is one of the ways we are set apart for most builders. Everyone either has a personal story or knows someone who has a horror story about remodeling or building a home. Why is that? We believe it’s because NO ONE is focusing on the client’s experience during the process. Building a home is a stressful endeavor, we have a process designed to manage expectations and put our clients in control, thereby lowering that stress significantly. Our aim is to make it an enjoyable process so our clients start living better at the beginning of the project not once the home is built.
Ultimately this means we’re in the business of making people feel happy, by helping them both define and achieve their dream space. Now I realize that this sounds super ambitious, but by focusing on how we all can be Living Better, everyone benefits. l am excited by the opportunity and invite you to see for yourself!
