Nate is the proud Co-Owner of Alair Bow Valley and a third-generation home builder. Nate built a foundation of skills beginning at a young age on his father’s job sites in the BC interior and the Bow Valley. In his early 20s, he and his brother started a framing and renovation company (and moved to Central Alberta) and continued the legacy of their forefathers. Nate joined Alair in 2016 and has not looked back, building on his strengths with the team at Alair Homes!

The greatest joy for Nate is creating lasting relationships with clients and the many amazing industry partners Alair has. Without whom, our numerous award-winning projects and raving reviews would not be a possibility. As an owner, Nate emphasizes the goal of consistent improvement of the company, industry and himself.

Away from the job site, you will find Nate spending time with his wife, Darby and their 5 kids. There is always a project of some sort on the go! To recharge, they pack the family up for a hike or picnic in the mountains, play board games around the dining table, or settle down for a family movie night and popcorn.

Derek is the proud co-owner of Alair Homes Red Deer. He has been working in the home building industry for more than 20 years, but he received his Journeyman Certificate in 2005. He has extensive experience in concrete foundations, framing and site managing renovations and new home construction. Derek has continuously updated his education over the years with completing his Professional Site management course through (PHBI) Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta in 2012 and receiving (COR) certificate of recognition is safety in 2008 through the Alberta Construction Safety Association.

Derek Continues to stay up-to-date in the industry by volunteering his time on the local home builders association, BILD-Central Alberta, since 2016 where he became the board chair in 2018, and has committed to sit on the BILD-Alberta board from 2019-2022.

Derek spends his time away from work with his wife Denise, son Kayden and his daughter Chloe camping and hanging out on the lakes with friends in the summer. You will find him around the local hockey rinks coaching and playing in the winter months.

Staying connected with friends and family are important to Derek while always making time to meet new people.

Mike has been a project manager since 2016 and recently joined Alair Homes – Red Deer in February 2021. He has always enjoyed building things from start to finish, dating back to his childhood when he would play with Lego or model cars. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in management, marketing, and international business from Minot State University, North Dakota. During that time, he played college baseball for four years on a scholarship.

Mike is amazed at how connected the Alair network is. He is honoured to be part of the team atmosphere that has been established. In terms of what he brings to the team, he is known for his organization and dedication to getting the job done well and on time.

Mike often refers to building a new custom home as a “journey.” To him, it’s more than just constructing a new house or renovation. It starts as a business relationship, followed by creating a vision and game plan, and finally executing the plan. His ultimate goal is to build someone’s dream space and develop a lasting relationship in the process.

Mike spends his free time with his wife Teale and their two young boys Holden and Weston. In the summer, they enjoy biking, camping, and playing soccer and tee ball outdoors. In the winter, the boys are just starting to get into skating and sledding.

With a strong background in both business administration and design, Krishelle brings a unique blend of organizational expertise and creative insight to the Alair Red Deer team. A
certified Medical Office Assistant, she has years of administrative experience and has spent the last decade immersed in the construction industry and running a renovation
company in Osoyoos, BC alongside her husband.

Now based in Red Deer, Krishelle continues to apply her extensive knowledge of home renovation, project coordination, and client service in her role at Alair. Her background in
interior design allows her to contribute not only behind the scenes but also in shaping beautiful, functional spaces for clients. Her natural design eye and practical field
knowledge are valuable assets to both the team and homeowners.

Krishelle is passionate about the entire homebuilding journey—from planning and
paperwork to finishes and final touches. She values the importance of communication, precision, and the little details that turn a house into a home.

Outside of work, Krishelle stays busy with her husband Nils and their two children, Wylde and Wrynley. Together, they are hands-on renovating their 1990s home. She enjoys running, gardening, crafting, playing video games, and exploring central Alberta with her family. A creative at heart, she dreams of one day living back on an acreage, complete with a large garden, a design studio, a few ducks, and a Bernese Mountain Dog.

Aaron Dhillon is Alair Homes’ newest Project Manager, bringing a passion for construction, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Known for his integrity and commitment to excellence,
Aaron fosters a culture of mutual respect and accountability within his team, ensuring projects run smoothly and meet high standards.

Aaron’s hands-on experience began early, working with his father and brother on home flips dating back to 1920s builds. This early exposure developed his deep knowledge of materials,
construction processes, and design principles. Over the years, Aaron honed his ability to think creatively under pressure while maintaining integrity.

Before joining Alair Homes, Aaron ran his own residential construction business for six years, specializing in luxury interior renovations. He then spent three years as a construction manager
for a custom home builder, gaining the technical skills to manage multiple projects. Aaron holds a Project Management and Administration certificate from the University of Alberta and is working toward becoming a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).

Born and raised in Edmonton, Aaron values strong relationships with family, friends, and collaborators. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
While life now revolves around soccer practices and family outings, Aaron and his wife previously explored backcountry trails across western Canada and backpacked through Europe.
During the summer, Aaron still makes time for an annual camping trip with his childhood friends and the occasional round of golf.
